Wedding Update and What Would You Think?

Wedding things are going as well as expected. Steamer is going to be here on Friday. Ben bought a tux. Wedding ceremony location and time are set. Everybody has their outfits. Yay! To do list is as follows:
1. get acid free pens
2. bouquet for Fuzzy
3. print invitations
4. assemble MIBs - raffia, sea shell, sand, etc.
5. finish welcome letter
6. create funny statements for each person in the wedding party
7. tie raffia around towels
8. figure out how to put treasure chests together
9. pack all the stuff for the OOT bags
10. set up picture sharing site
11. print welcome brochure
12. make anklets

And packing, beautification things, house cleaning, etc.

And, now for the WWYT section of the entry. Ben and I got this card from a friend of his family on Sunday. Please explain your reaction if you were me.


Although you did not meet us before today, we feel that we know you through the wonderful things we have heard from your family. (Anna - you are very lucky to be joining the Custead family, they are special people) Hope this helps in a small way toward your beautiful future together.

I think I'm about to have a panic attack. I went to this website where people post their reviews of cruises and things. And now I'm panicking that my wedding is going to suck. I'm not getting additional decorations. I haven't thought of vows. I haven't picked any readings. Our reception is short with cake and champagne (but really, you don't need extra food on a cruise). They are talking about things I've never heard about on the ship. My wedding is going to be lame and not special or unique. Ben's talking about going out with people the night of our wedding. His mom asked him to make sure he "babysits" his brothers when Bart takes them out drinking the night of our wedding. I honestly don't think I'm being too selfish assuming that Ben would be mine for that night. I think I'm just going to sit in a corner and cry.

Also, Ben's grandma is one of those mothers that you hear about in wedding horror stories. To her son's wedding, she wore a cream colored (looked white in the pictures) short dress. Like 1970's mini dress short. Like you could see a good three inches above her knees (and she's not a tall woman). Not to mention that in their family photo, she has managed to be in the center of the picture and push the bride out to the side. I didn't think that people actually did that.

OMG, I wish I had a baby kitty!

OMG! How adorable! I want a little baby kitty that can barely climb up the side of the bed. All cute and snuggly and helpless. EEEEHHH!!! I want a kitten!

Invitations out

So, I go to the post office to mail my invitations today. It's pouring down rain. Like woah. So, this time I get a much nicer man to help me than the bitchy lady who I had weigh my invitations before. So, yeah, my invitation weighed 1.10 ounces. Umh, if I would have lost the inner envelope, I could have used a 41 cent stamp instead of a 58 cent stamps. Urgh. That makes me a little pissed off. The invitations got placed in the mail, so, yay. Now Ben just have to finish getting a couple of addresses.

Also, today is Spotty's three year anniversary. Yay for having Spotty for three years. Tomorrow is Jackson's 2 year anniversary. Yay for Jackson! Jackson is sitting on my lap while I'm typing this; he seems pleased for the shout out.

Also, we need more people to live near us so they can come over and eat food when we make too much. Because, honestly, there are like twenty pot stickers that Ben made (from scratch) that I'm not going to eat. Seriously, like seven were enough. Also, I'm going to have left overs tomorrow. I am going to make zuchinni, black bean, and corn enchiladas with grilled vegetables. I am also making Amaretto margaritas (I made the sour mix from scratch today). If I'm ambitious, I'm also going to make a lemon pound cake with cherry compote.
