Since I believe that everything balances out, I know I'm going to get screwed.

Ben and I took of Friday and Tuesday to extend our three day weekend into a five day weekend. We had a nice time in Staunton. Well, some of it was nice, and some of it was painful. The Natural Bridge debacle, stinky duck pond with apathetic ducks, and me making us miss our free breakfast that probably had omelettes on Sunday were the not nice parts. It was nice spending time with Ben and eating at Mill Street.
Well, it seems that the best part of not being at work on Tuesday was missing the bomb threats. That's right. Bomb threats. Multiple of them. The whole school was outside from seven -twenty in the morning (kids don't enter the building until seven-thirty) until around noon. Now, if any of you remember, yesterday was an exceptionally hot day outside. Supposedly four kids were taken to the hospital across the street and at least one teacher passed out. So, I missed not sitting outside in the excruciating heat all day. I was a little angry because my A day kids were going to be two days behind my B day kids, but that didn't happen because I had to proctor Algebra testing all day and basically deserted my kids today. I didn't get back into my class until noon when someone had already started a DVD for my fifth period class. I guess that made my day easy...
So, since I missed the bomb threat, I guess I've got something coming to keep the universe in balance.

Herpes

So, I come home today and my cat is sneezing up a storm. Waffles is sneezing every so often and is sneezing like seven times in a row. Last time she did this, we took her to the emergency vet and spent all evening waiting to have her seen. Well, as the title of the post suggests, she has herpes. It's like a cold sore type of herpes, and it is brought out by stress. I think she knows that she might be going to Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend when we go away. I think that stress has caused another outbreak. It almost wants to make me stay home this weekend and watch her to make sure she doesn't get worse. I don't trust my parents with cats so much since my cat disappeared a couple of weeks ago and is probably dead.

Ah, Waffles is looking so pathetic. With the herpes, along with the sneezing, are watery, pinkish eyes. She totally has those and they make her look so sad. I guess she's really not that sick since she just chased Jack around the whole apartment and bit him. I guess I now have two cats with herpes.
