Newton White - Part 2

Here is the atrium at Newton White. They are breaking it down from another party. The trees in the room are put there by the caterers, but the atrium is so lovely with its picture windows looking out on the golf course and it is so full of natural light. It would be a lovely place to have brunch on a Sunday.

The woman in the left of the picture is another woman whose daughter is getting married in June of '07. Oddly enough, she is from Olney (which is right next door to Ben and mine's parents' houses) and she went to Chevy Chase Women's Club the same day as us, but before us. It was weird. Her daughter is also having a brunch wedding with an omlette guy. Weird...

Here is another picture of the atrium. This looks out onto the trees next to the patio.

This is the ballroom. It is fairly large and the woman showing us around said this is where people usually have their cocktail hour. However, my feeling is that this could be our bad weather location for the ceremony in case it's raining or the air quailty is teh sux. So, this place does seem to have a lot. It has a really nice place to have the reception. It has a lovely patio to get married on. And, it has a built in rain location. Also, it has a bride's and groom's room. The bride's room has a large three way mirror, lounge, and bathroom complete with bath tub. I don't know why you'd need a bath tub, but, whatever. The groom's room has a shower. But, I guess that's nice because Ben and I can arrive there when the vendors do an hour or so before the thing starts to get ready there.

Here is the bay window in the ballroom. What a lovely place to get married, if it's unbearable outside. Posted by Picasa
