I have a bathing suit hickey on my neck and it hurts.

I have a problem with self perception. When I asked Kayla what I should say about me, she said that I was "sexylicious and fantabulous." I was thinking that I was a slightly neurotic academic with a passion for solitude, irony, and ice cream. Maybe I'm right and she just has a major visual problem of which we were all unaware.

How does a bathing suit produce the suction needed to give a hickey?
It's more like a skin irritation from the bathing suit strap rubbing against my skin as I swin, but it kinda looks like a hickey.
